Marketing for Austin Dog Businesses — Found First, Not Last

Austin is one of the most dog-obsessed cities in the country — Zilker's off-leash park, the Greenbelt, patios that hand out treats. There are a lot of dogs here, which means a lot of owners looking for a dog pro they can trust. That demand is the opportunity, but it only reaches you if you're the one they find first. I help Austin dog businesses — trainers, groomers, daycare and boarding, walkers, sitters — show up first when those owners search, on Google, on the map, and in the AI assistants people now use to find recommendations.

Here’s how I work

When a dog business reaches out from Austin, I sit down with you and build around the clients you actually want. I'm not in the business of stacking competitors against each other — I'd rather help you own your corner of the Austin market than water it down. If your business is hard to find online, that's the problem I solve.

I'm a dog trainer — but before dogs, I spent years as a recruiter and a promoter. Finding people, getting attention on the right things: that was my job. When dogs became my world, I brought those skills with me. That's what I do for you now — help the right clients find your dog business.

To be clear about what I do: I'm not here to help you run your business — the scheduling, the day-to-day. I help you grow it. Getting found, reaching the clients you want, building an online presence that lasts.

I'm a fixer by nature, and helping dog pros grow something that lasts — something they own — is the work I care about most.

What makes me

And here's what makes me different: I don't want your money forever. Some SEO companies keep you on the hook — and if you ever stop paying, they strip out everything they built for you. I do the opposite. I build things that stay yours, and I teach you what you need to know so you can run with it. When you've got it, you've graduated. I'm here when you need me after that — same as a good trainer is there for their clients, not billing them for life.

Austin gets a steady stream of newcomers arriving with dogs and no local connections yet — being the business they find first is worth a lot here.

I also work with dog businesses in Denver, Phoenix, Nashville, Portland and Sacramento.

I price this the same way I price training clients — start with a single Visibility Consultation, move into a Training Package when you're ready, or let me handle the heavier lifting with Day Training. However we work together, you'll graduate to simple check-ins when you've got it. See the full options on my pricing page.

Austin dog business questions

What kinds of dog businesses do you work with?

Trainers, groomers, daycare and boarding, walkers, sitters — if you work with dogs and need to be found online, we should talk. I focus on the details specific to your kind of business.

Will you work with my competitor down the street too?

Short answer: I won't do anything that hurts a business I'm already helping. I'm not going to prop up your direct competitor — that works against the whole point of hiring me.

But "competitor" isn't always clear-cut. Two trainers in the same town aren't necessarily rivals if they're built for different clients — one force-free and one balanced, or one focused on board-and-train and the other on group classes. When something like that comes up, I bring it to the business who came first. Some are glad to share a market they know they can't cover alone; some want the town to themselves. Either way, it's your call, and I honor it — if you want your category held for you, it's held.

And even then, a city usually has room for more than one kind of dog business — a groomer, an in-home boarding service, a sitter. So as long as this page is up, there's likely something open in Austin. It's worth a conversation.

I already have a website but nobody finds it. Can you help?

That's the most common thing I hear. A site nobody can find is exactly the problem I solve — getting you to actually show up in search and on the map, not just having a page that exists.

A lot of new people are moving to Austin with dogs. How do they find me if they don't know anyone yet?

That's exactly the opening. Someone who just moved here has a dog and nobody local to ask — no neighbor to recommend a groomer, no friend with a trainer they trust. So they do the only thing they can: they search. Whoever shows up first and clearly gets their situation becomes the trusted name, purely for being findable at the moment of the question. In a town with this many arrivals, that moment happens constantly — and it goes to whoever's easy to find, not whoever's been in business longest. My job is to make sure that first name is yours: on Google, on the map, and in the AI assistants people now ask instead of a neighbor.
